Banten sees controlled, accident-free homecoming flow

Banten Police Chief, Inspector General Hengki, here on Friday stated that this year’s homecoming flow has been safe and under control, both on toll roads and arterial routes.
“For traffic accidents, so far there have been no reports of significant or fatal incidents. This shows that the homecoming situation is safe and well managed,” he said.
According to the police chief, the success in maintaining safety was the result of synergy and coordination among the National Police, the Indonesian Military, regional governments, and all stakeholders in providing the service to the public.
He explained that the entire security scheme for the homecoming flow, especially toward ferry crossing areas, has been well controlled without major obstacles.
In addition to safety, traffic management strategies were also considered effective in easing potential congestion at crucial points.
Moreover, the blocking system implementation at Cikuasa Atas was aimed at ensuring local community activities remained unaffected. Queues were directed to buffer zones and the Lingkar Selatan Road to prevent long congestion on main routes.
“We monitor directly and through surveillance, and the number of vehicles that have not crossed is very small. Incoming vehicles can board the ferry immediately without significant buildup,” Hengki added.
He praised the joint personnel and the public for realizing a conducive situation.
“This synergy is the key to the success of Operation Ketupat Maung 2026. We thank all parties who have maintained the smooth flow of this year’s homecoming,” he said.
