Snow, crashes close roads across Front Range, mountains

The Front Range’s first snowstorm after weeks of dry weather closed several roads Friday morning.

Colorado road closures as of 11:40 a.m. Friday

  • U.S. 285 between mile point 184 at Ridge Lane and mile point 208 at Geneva Creek north of Fairplay

Snow is expected to impact travel on Interstate 70, U.S. 40 and other roads in the central and northern mountains, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. Up to 14 inches could fall at the Eisenhower Tunnel and up to 13 inches at Vail Pass.

Northbound lanes of Interstate 25 closed early Friday morning near the Wyoming border but reopened as of 9:15 a.m.
