Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto has invited former President Joko Widodo, commonly known as Jokowi, to a meeting scheduled Tuesday evening at Jakarta’s Merdeka Palace.
Jokowi is confirmed to attend, his aide, Police Commissioner Syarif Muhammad Fitriansyah, told reporters Tuesday afternoon.
“Yes, he will attend at 7:30 p.m. local time,” Syarif said in a text message.
The aide did not provide details on the meeting’s agenda or list of other invited guests.
Syarif described the gathering as a forum for discussion and maintaining cordial relations.
“It is a meeting for discussion and silaturahmi,” he said, using the Indonesian term for fostering social ties.
