Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Prabowo Subianto extends Eid al-Fitr greetings and expressed his appreciation for the accelerated recovery from the flood disaster in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, which has nearly reached 100 percent completion.
President Prabowo, after performing Eid al-Fitr prayers with the community at the Darussalam Mosque in the temporary housing complex in Aceh Tamiang District, expressed his hope that the Eid al-Fitr momentum would bring goodness to all Indonesians.
“Thank God, we have reached this Eid al-Fitr. I apologize for all my wrongdoings, minal aidin wal faizin. Hopefully, the coming year will be a good year for us all,” he said as quoted from a statement released by the Presidential Secretariat on Saturday.
On the occasion, the President also highlighted the rapid and substantial progress of post-disaster recovery, noting that it has nearly reached 100 percent completion.
“There are no more people in tents. Everyone has moved out of the tents and into temporary housing, and permanent housing has begun gradually,” he said.
The head of state added that basic infrastructure has also been almost fully restored.
“Electricity is almost fully restored, almost 100 percent, with only five villages remaining,” he continued.

Furthermore, Prabowo confirmed that government aid has been fully distributed to affected communities, ensuring that all assistance has reached those in need.
For this achievement, the president expressed his appreciation to all parties involved in disaster management and recovery.
“I am very proud and grateful to all officers, all officials, from the Indonesian Defense Forces (TNI), the National Police, the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB), the Public Works Ministry, local governments, and all ministries/institutions who have worked to help the people,” he remarked.
Prabowo added that the government’s disaster response extends to multiple affected regions aside from Aceh.
Through the acceleration of recovery efforts, the government reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring affected communities can resume normal life with adequate or sufficient supporting infrastructure.
