Prabowo celebrates Eid with flood survivors in Aceh Tamiang

Following the prayers, President Prabowo met with local residents to hand over packages to representatives in front of the mosque. He then greeted the crowd in the mosque courtyard, where residents enthusiastically welcomed him and wished him a Happy Eid al-Fitr.
During these interactions, the head of state inspected temporary housing near the Darussalam Mosque built for the flood survivors. Before departing, he spoke to the media and once again greeted the public from his presidential car.
After his departure, residents continued to gather in the courtyard to collect the aid packages.
During his visit to Aceh Tamiang, President Prabowo was accompanied by Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya and Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian. Also in attendance were Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono, and TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto.
On Friday, March 20, President Prabowo extended his greetings for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, which the government set for Saturday, March 21, 2026.
According to him, the holiday is an opportunity to strengthen togetherness among the nation’s citizens as one big family.
“My fellow citizens, all praise be to Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala who has brought us all together on this day of victory. On behalf of myself, my family, and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, I wish you a happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah,” he stated, as quoted from an official broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat.
